Introducing Karen Nelson Bell
Karen Nelson Bell went from losing her job as an executive show producer to real estate millionaire in 4 months and 9 days after joining Robert Allen’s Protégé Program to study investing. She continued to build a real estate empire while helping others to do the same, teaching on behalf of the Enlightened Wealth Institute and Robert Allen Institute.
Karen had accomplished an enviable career in the arts as a singer and musician, and more recently as a TV and stage producer. In a stunningly short time, she went from a successful life in the arts to a career as a real estate investor.
Soon, she developed a passion for teaching other people to invest and spent the following years helping students become successful, even millionaires and multi-millionaires. She became “The 5-Minute Mentor” in order to teach women in short, easy 5-minute bites, because women everywhere are too busy to fit one more thing into their hectic schedules.
As one of Robert Allen’s most successful disciples, she recently co-authored the best-selling “Nothing Down for Women (The Smart Woman’s Quick-Start Guide to Real Estate Investing).”
Shortly after beginning to write the book, Duncan Guertin, her husband and love of 17 years, passed away suddenly at the age of 51.
Alone but determined, she saw Nothing Down for Women became #1 on Amazon.com. One reader, a disabled homemaker, got 3 lucrative deals after reading only the first 4 chapters! Karen helps women of all ages (and men too) learn how to invest without their own cash or credit by tapping into other resources. In her most recent “15-Day Challenge” 32 students were able to acquire a record-breaking $22 million in profitable deals in under three weeks.
When she became financially successful, she felt the pressing need to pay it forward. She supports multiple charities, and a charitable scholarship foundation in her husband’s name helps deserving people study through the same program that helped her become a millionaire. (See the “Duncan Guertin Memorial Scholarship Fund.”)
Says Karen, “As an artist and performer I was never money-motivated, but I’ve been inspired to use money and its energy for good causes. I feel that wealth gave me actual spiritual relief and pointed me toward the joy of being valuable to others. My passion has gone from wanting to lift people up with my music to a passion for helping people, especially women, to build their own secure future. It’s my highest purpose.”
